MEDICAL CHECK UPS:
In the clinic we perform regular wellness check ups. If an exam reveals a particular diagnosis of Osteoarthritis we then follow a series of steps in order to treat the patient most effectively. Upon the diagnosis the staff verifies any insurance coverage prior to making your next appointment. The objective is to determine insurance coverage as well as self-pay options. Once the initial paperwork is completed, and insurance coverage is established, the patient is scheduled for their first joint injection. The process takes about 10-15 minutes. Vital signs are taken, the joint is prepped and the ultrasound is used to assist for accurate needle placement. Post-procedure treatment is administered as well as any home-care instructions. Strenuous exercise or activity is not recommended following joint injection procedures for at least 24 hours. Once cleared a patient may return to their normal daily activities.
